Board Of Directors

The Riverside board of directors is a body of nine (9) elected members who jointly oversee the activities of the country club.  The board's activities are determined by the powers, duties and responsibilities delegated to it or conferred on it and detailed in the Riverside Country Club Bylaws. The bylaws specify the number of members of the board, how they are to be chosen  and when they are to meet.

The board acts on behalf of the members , which usually chooses the members of the board. Broad duties of the board of directors include:

  • governing the club by establishing broad policies and objectives;
  • selecting, appointing, supporting and reviewing the performance of the general manager;
  • setting the salaries and compensation of club’s management;
  • ensuring the availability of adequate financial resources;
  • approving annual budgets;
  • accounting to the stakeholders for the organization's performance; and
  • choosing one of its members as president, vice president, treasurer and secretary.
